Welcome to the Schulich IMIG Website!

The Internal Medicine Interest Group (IMIG) at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University in London Ontario is pleased to present this website aimed at increasing information available about the core internal medicine residency and the many subspecialty disciplines that may follow.

Our website aims to provide you with the resources you need to make career planning decisions regarding a residency in internal medicine and its sub-discipline specialties. We’ve provided breakdowns of each specialty including details of lifestyle and opportunities available for both academic and community practices. Leading clinicians of the London Health Sciences Center and in the community have provided insight into the practice of internal medicine and its subspecialties in academic, community and rural environments.

We will continue to add subspecialty information pages as we further develop the website. You can find information regarding the core internal medicine residency by clicking on the “Residency Information” tab above and a list of forthecoming subspecialty pages is available on the “Subspeciality Profiles” page. We are also in the process of soliciting interviews from clinicians throughout LHSC and the community to further lend insight into the field of internal medicine and its subspecialties to prospective students.

The internal medicine interest group is dedicated to bringing you all the information necessary to explore a career in internal medicine and its many sub-specialty disciplines. We hope this website will serve as a useful permanent resource for students interested in internal medicine whether at Western or abroad.

If you have any questions or comments, you can contact us using the emails provided on the "Contact" page. If you are looking for specific contact information for the internal medicine program at Schulich, the links are on the left sidebar.
